Orbitron - Cassini
An inquisitive astronaut begins his trek across a seemingly not-so-hostile planet, one that is so benign that it offers bounteous harvests of oxygen to those who happen upon it.
The expanses offered here never allow you to forget the satellites aloft, even as the terrain offers reservoirs of exploratory charm. Rugged ground invites interference from above to create a world in which the visitor can free, or perhaps expand, his mind.
"Titan" begins the peregrination in a desert, perhaps implying that the wanderer's spacecraft crashed somewhere in its broad maw. It's a classy way to begin an adventure, and fortunately, this sort of landscape isn't "belabored" anywhere along the way.
Wanderlust brings us to slightly meditative reaches and even bluesy moments, and the terminus of the escapism veers into slight ominousness. Did we discover something shocking? Did some entity (try to) preclude our departure?
Cassini overdoes nothing. It's a transient escape from all that we know that is replete with fresh riffs and ambiences that won't let you think of reality for even a moment.
