BLUE MANIC-ATARAXIA

 

Well, it's here, Blue Manic's Ataraxia!! Released on my birthday this year, this three song EP has been a constant on my daily commute.

Code of Giants is a fuzz-soaked jam that sucks you in immediately. I hear Slift, Clutch and Middle Eastern influence all over this tune that get heavier and heavier as the song goes on.

And a cover of No Quarter????????!!!!!!!!!!! Somehow is more psych and way heavier than the original????One of my favorite Zeppelin tunes by far, and the addition of sax puts it over the top!

They end with a duet called Underground, great bass and lead guitar and more sax!!!

This is an overall great EP, I've got plans to see them live in Lowell, Ma in February, can't wait to hear these tunes in person!!!!!!
